Chapter 414: There’s Just You and Me
"R-right. Of course. I was just a stranger to you back then. I must have looked like an old pervert selfishly desiring you. I’m so sorry," he lost all the confidence he had earlier. His eyes darted to the floor.
’Oops. Was I too harsh?’
"It’s alright. I am your wife so it’s fine to fantasize about doing it with me. And it’s your mind so you can do whatever you please. It just happened that I could hear you," she tried to make him feel better, but he still drooped.
"Does this mean all those times you were pretending to sleep during our first month was because you can’t sleep due to my thoughts?" he inquired.
She did not reply since he might feel even worse. But her silence was enough to tell him his assumption was right.
"That must have been terrible. I was so foolish. I’m so sorry. I didn’t know I was giving you so much trouble," Ferdinand’s shoulders sagged.
Arabella eyed her sulking husband. He might feel even worse if she doesn’t accept his apology. It was better to be best honest about how she felt back then since he was sincerely apologizing.
"Yes, you were. It was so hard to sleep at night with you thinking about all sorts of things. It was annoying. You moved from thinking about lewd thoughts to planning your whole day or vice versa. I wanted to hit you with a pillow so many times, especially when your thoughts wander too much," she told him her complaints about that time.
"I’m so sorry," Ferdinand wilted even more.
"But it’s alright now. I have already forgiven you months ago. And it’s not your fault I can hear your thoughts. I was the one who was invading by listening to it like that. I shouldn’t have known about it, but I did because of my ability. So, as I have said, it’s not really your fault. Likewise, now that I like you, I don’t dislike knowing that you had been yearning for me before I even liked you. I felt wanted, so you don’t have to feel bad about it anymore," she cupped his face with both hands and kissed him on the forehead.
"Really? You forgive me?" Ferdinand finally perked up. His ears were red.
