SILVER-HEART

Chapter 160: The Story Of Yin And The Fox Guardian {8}

Aveline wasted no time in searching around the room for anything at all, anything that can explain why she was subjected to such a chained fate. She never considered it a chained fate, it was meant to be a purpose, meant to be something she was born for, appeal to it without any questions because it was meant to be.

But now it just felt like a curse branded on her skin, a skin she was now revolted with, because each time she felt his hand crawling on it she felt like gagging, his touch sickened her, and a feeling like worms were moving around her body. Her own soulmate touch felt like a leech to her skin. There must be some explanation for this... because Aveline understood the concept of soulmate very well.

Her mother and father were an example of that, they were brothers and sisters. Siblings were meant to be mates in the Elven society, that is the way for many centuries now, a way of keeping the bloodline pure.

Being Aldon’s sibling she is meant to be his mate and also because of their past life as Yin and Yang, a life she has no recall of.

Aveline opened the drawers searching through them and also making sure Aldon didn’t stir, she was thankful he was a heavy sleeper, to begin with, she has replaced the position she was supposed to lay on with a pillow and he hugged it like it was the only thing keeping him on earth, he won’t be awake any time soon, he is distracted enough.

Aveline wasn’t searching blindly, she has grown up with Aldon for years and knew he has a habit of writing in his journal, it was practice for him for he was born with all memories from the past, and in order not to be consumed by it he was told to write it on a special journal.

It didn’t take long before Aveline found it in a space that only she could find and she grabbed a lantern and walked to their study room, with a few books, and sat on the chair placing the black book embodied with a leaf-like silver design on the table. Aveline knew everything in this book, for he has told her stories about their past life. But.... she has only heard from Aldon and not seen the journal for herself, so definitely there must be something here that can offer up an explanation.

Aveline reached for it in an attempt to untie the black rope around it but it wouldn’t bulge, which could only mean that he had sealed it with magic.

’I thought we don’t hide anything from each other’ Aveline thought sternly, this could only mean he was definitely hiding something. She gulped, placing her palm on it and mumbling several Elven languages that have to do with ’Open’ but it wouldn’t shift.

Aveline sighed, wondering what Aldon could have possibly used to seal this, it was so important that he went to such extreme lengths for it, she can’t even think of anything at all.

So she said the name ’Star’ that he has given her but to no avail, nothing that even connected her to him. There was nothing she could do now, but that doesn’t mean she will just give up, she was very certain this journal will hold all the answers she needed if she can’t open it here then...
