If there’s one weakness I have... it’s being slow-witted when it comes to processing new and unfamiliar things, my brain just hits a jam and needs several reboots, and it can take a really long time. Finding out the truth about my birth wasn’t just shocking but traumatizing even if I didn’t show it. There were many questions in my head right now and I can’t silence them, they need answers, answers I wasn’t so sure I could give.
This discovery shook even my bones. I have come here to at least connect with my mother who I supposedly believe was dead and was on the other plane between life and death, waiting for me to connect to her but turns out she is very much alive, Emma’s mom is my mom and Emma.
I darted my eyes to her, standing next to Dace in a close position as she centered all her attention on him, her lips moving as she spoke to him, their hands locked from this position, Emma... Emma is my sister, not just my sister but my twin, my younger twin for I used 30 minutes until she came out. This was mind blowing and also confusing for me. My hands were even trembling, was this real? I have a sister? And a mom?
Emma parted from Dace and walked to me with a small smile on her lips, I could tell she was anxious just as I was but she was trying to hide it to make me feel better, I should be uncomfortable having her be this close to me because my brain still needed to process, I should be angry, or act like a foolish guy not wanting to accept the truth... but no, with Emma I felt alleviation, I had the strength to accept this new identity of mine, is she?
"Hey" she began softly and I said nothing mostly because my words were hung up in my throat. "Dace will drop us off back at the party and..." she paused before gulping and I knew what she was gonna say.
"I will have to meet your mom" I flinched. "OUR mom" I corrected, still unsure of myself and my words.
"Yes... our mom, you have to meet her..." she paused. "Not that you haven’t met her but as you are, not as Grayson Yeager but as Grayson Adams"
