BLOOD LEGACIES

Chapter 291: The Rock Star

We arrived in Washington but my mom had to rush to one of the hotels her boss stayed in, well basically it was where we would be staying too. My mom was so busy the moment we came there, going through the stuff she needed to do and I just helped myself to a corner, well it was a Suite so I just helped myself to the couch next to the window.

Grayson left us in other to keep the lie that he was actually here for something, so I was basically alone right now, I never minded that fact before but right I do, it felt so off being alone which was odd for me, maybe because I was around so many people back at Juneau that I forgot what it means to be alone. It was a change for me, a really big change.

I sighed as I rose to my feet because my butt felt so sore from all the sitting. I spent hours on that plane and I’m not about to spend another hurting my poor butt. So I suit myself by walking up to the window showing the city, helping myself to the wonderful view here, luxury really is something, you get to see a better view from the highest place, the rest of the cars down there and people looked like ants.

Wow, I never thought I would be back here, it was so loud, unlike Juneau when the neighborhood was so quiet and you hear the trees rustling as the wind blew, the birds chirping, and even see squirrels helping their way on trees, and nuts.

Fewer people, more houses, mostly cottage houses, forest, lots and lots of forests, and greens everywhere as well as flowers, the mountain view, the blue sea, tropical places enough to feast your eyes upon, and the super yet wonderful cold weather.

But here it was cars, cars, buildings, shops, more cars, the loud noise of the cars and many loud noises. I don’t know where it comes from, it was just loud. It was at this particular time I needed my headset, but no! I forgot to bring them, it was what helped me with the noises but I wasn’t exactly prepared for that, have I gotten so used to Juneau?

"There they are!"

I jumped at the sudden loud voice and I twirled finding a girl matching towards me with her eyes beside me. I looked toward it and found very large expensive boots, all leather.

"Wow," I mumbled.

She walked to it and grabbed them, I realized she was barefoot, in this cold?

She stood fully and laid her aqua eyes on me, were they contacts? It doesn’t look like one, I think they are natural and they are so beautiful, I could see the colors swirling in them, or was that my imagination? She had lovely curly brown hair like an afro, the tips were a lighter brown and the edge was a darker shade, it was thick and full but not too big, and it fitted her oval face perfectly.
