"I didn’t know you two were THAT close" I began before I could stop myself, it was really hard keeping my mind and body in check.
"We aren’t but for some reason, it doesn’t matter"
"Hmm I see... a Venator such as yourself wants to help Emma find her werelion, that has a nice ring to it" I mused and I noticed something in his eyes.
"Don’t call me that"
"What?"
"A Venator!" he snapped at me and I froze at his outburst. He sounded like he was in pain now and I was worried.
"Sorry, I..." he sighed, closing his eyes for a brief second. "I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that"
"N-No it’s okay" I placed my hand on his arm and he looked over at it but I was too clouded by worry to think of anything else. "Are you okay? You sound like you’re in pain" I said with the softest tone I could muster.
His eyes darted to mine and locked within my hazels, he was definitely in pang, like something was bothering him and I was eager to find out so that I would take it away.
"I’m fine Emilia and it’s not in your nature to be worried about me"
I couldn’t resist an eye roll right now. "Really?"
