Chapter 115: Mysticism
EMMA
~
I was unable to move my body, I felt so numb and I felt sore, but I couldn’t resist the cozy mattress I laid on, it was so silky, more soothing than my bed. I whined trying to move but I couldn’t, I felt so wimpy and the ache from my neck was excruciating, it hurt so much that I could cry right now, I have never been a fan of pain.
The beeping sound of a monitor machine made my head ache too, was I in the hospital? What happened? I was having a really difficult time assembling my thoughts, it was all imprecise and I was focused solely on my aching body, and that didn’t help at all. I feel so uncomfortable now, silently praying that this pain would stop.
I propelled my eyes open but I met a blurred image, great, I don’t even know where my glasses were. I whined once again, I feel so awful, I feel... My breath became shaky, my mind churning with several images and then it hit me, the memory of that night, that vampire and his fangs piercing my skin, the pain, the blood, I panicked once again and I drew on my breath.
"Emma"
I groaned with a frown.
"Emma"
I moved but my body quivered in discomfort. Who was that? Who was calling my name? My eyelashes flicked but I didn’t have it in me to open my eyes anymore.
