Chapter 53: A Call
The call ended the next, what just happened? Were they fighting? Emilia’s voice sure sounded murderous not to talk more of Dace’s, they were siblings, weren’t they? That was too intense in a matter of seconds, I bit my lip... maybe I shouldn’t have called.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when my phone rang and the caller was Dace, it made my nerves in turmoil within me, I took a hard gulp before sliding the call button and placing it to my ear, I waited not saying anything, only my breathing could be heard, I should speak but I didn’t find my words, almost like I was mute right now, I didn’t know why it felt hard to speak, it just did, what could I possibly say?
"Emma"
I shivered when the sound of my name rolled off him, in that voice of his and my body shivered in delight, this is not okay at all! I remained silent, focusing more on the sensual state I was in than talking. I really should say something but I was more focused on rubbing my knee together, to ease...
"I thought you would ever call me... again"
I flashed my eyes open at his words, they sounded so... down and it made my heart ache.
"After what happened..." he paused, there was a minute of silence once again and I felt sinking. "Emma please talk to me"
I licked my lips, leisurely settling on my bed. "Hey", hey? Really? I feel like a fool right now.
"Hey" he replied. Yet another silence followed.
