VALENCIA’S POV
I looked at the man before me with wide eyes as he looked back at me with an animalistic desire.
I don’t know what they talked about in the hall.
I was happily playing with my Happy when the door of my room burst open. Before I could react, he grabbed my hand and threw me on the bed, making me bounce on the mattress.
As if Happy knew not to interrupt something or become a witness to it, he flew out of the window immediately.
"Quite intelligent," Maverick whispered before gazing back at me.
"Alpha Maverick, what’s wrong? You were fine just earlier. Is this because of something I did or because I don’t want to be protected by that girl?" I asked, feeling a little wary.
Maverick shook his head, the light in his eyes finally dimming.
He sat close to me and held my hand, his emotions suddenly changing from animalistic to comforting and loving, confusing me.
"I am sorry I reacted like that. I just... I want to love you. The fact that I can’t be inside you 24/7 and make you realize how much I love you hurts me. If possible, I want to make love to you at least seven times a day, more than fifty times a week," Maverick whispered, placing his forehead on mine. I gulped.
My heart skipped a beat at the rawness of his emotions as he poured his heart out to me.
