"What do you mean?" I asked the alpha, my gaze turning dark.
Did he already know something about me? Jonathan clearly said the truth about my parents would only bring trouble to me.
I looked at Jonathan, who probably understood I needed him with me, and he didn’t waste a second strutting towards me.
"What’s the matter?" Jonathan looked at Alpha Desmond.
Alpha Desmond’s soft demeanor was back as he smiled at me.
"She is Avantika’s daughter, isn’t she?" Alpha Desmond asked, and Jonathan froze in his place, probably wondering how the alpha knew about it.
Alpha Desmond sighed.
"Why are you keeping her identity hidden? She deserves recognition despite the danger to her. Do you think you can forever hide her from miseries?" Alpha Desmond said.
Everything was becoming a bit too confusing for me, and I massaged my forehead in annoyance.
