Chapter 101: Alpha Meeting
ALPHA MAVERICK’S POV
’You lost her,’ Reaper said for the umpteenth time.
I rolled my eyes at him.
Seriously, dude? Give me a break. I am equally anxious about her departure as you are. I wanted to say these words to the wolf, but with a sigh, I just walked to the meeting.
’Stop annoying me. I am not going inside the meeting as Valencia’s lover but as the alpha of the Dark Callisto Pack,’ I reminded my wolf, who rolled his eyes but got back into the position nonetheless.
As soon as I walked into the room, all the alphas gathered with the common problem in mind stood in their seats as they looked at me with respect.
"Alpha Maverick Aurelius," Alpha Tyler stepped ahead from his desk and walked to me to shake my hand.
I looked at his extended hand.
I wasn’t a hot-headed person, nor was I the kind of person who acted rudely because success got to their head. It was just I didn’t hear many good things about this alpha.
Starting from the rumor that he rejected his mate because she wasn’t as powerful as the beta’s daughter. This was the worst one.
There were people like me who got betrayed by their mates and then there were alphas like him who let go of their mate so carelessly.
