Chapter 99: Meeting witches
VALENCIA’S POV
’Seriously, what are you doing here?’ Aurora asked me as I walked to the further north parts of the forest with an evil plan in my mind, my Happy bird sitting on my shoulders.
’Just wait and watch,’ I said to her.
’That’s what I am not able to do. Whenever you have this kind of smile on your face, things always go south,’ Aurora said, and I grinned at her.
’Well, things won’t go south here for sure since we are in the north,’ I said before I snuck my way toward the caves that I knew would lead to the abandoned zones of the forests.
It was just a fleeting rumor, but I heard that some witches were arriving in the northern parts of the caves, and since I had never seen a mainland witch, I wanted to see what they looked like and how their powers work.
’Valencia, I don’t think this is a good idea,’ Aurora said, and I looked at my wolf with a scowl.
"Happy, you tell me, do you think this is a bad idea?" I asked my bird who flew down from my shoulders, grabbed a little stick in his beak, and started writing.
"Fun," Happy said, and I chuckled at the bird before flaring my tongue at the wolf who scowled at our new bonding.
"Hehe," I walked inside the caves, removing the long branches of the trees in the way. It was a hidden cave that only a few people knew about, but since I was a cat and didn’t fear anyone, I have seen all these hidden paths in the last six months.
As soon as I entered the cave, I suddenly felt the pressure of the powers that were probably the doing of the witches to scare away the people from entering their regions.
