Chapter 21: The knight for me
VALENCIA’S POV
I ran as fast as I could without giving up on the fact that I wasn’t a normal human. I won’t be lying if I say I was still in disbelief at what my wolf did.
How could she?
’What can I say? I am already busted this time. However, if given a chance, I’ll show you again how it’s done,’ Aurora smirked, probably proud of her work.
The nerve of this fake-wolf! How can she be so relaxed? Does she not know that my death would result in her death too? Or does she think she is some kind of immortal soul?
’You are not going to die, Cutie,’ Aurora grinned, calling me one name that I don’t like her calling.
Without wasting my time on this stupid useless half-cat-half wolf or God knows what, I kept running towards the forest.
A sane person would run towards a crowded place when followed by so many men, but for people like me, a forest was a good hiding place.
And now that I was finally in my home, I could maybe use a trick or two to confuse them, right? With that thought in mind, I quickly climbed the tree before jumping on another one, hiding behind large trunks, thanks to this forest that is home to one of the largest trees around here.
Crossing my legs around the branch, I bent my body towards the ground and hit the area right under the ear and neck of the last man who was looking for me with others.
Seeing his body going limp, I didn’t waste a single second and tied his hand to the long elongated stems before jumping on the tree, making the stem I was sitting on pull his limp body upwards.
