Chapter 20: Being followed
VALENCIA’S POV
I couldn’t eat.
Even though my favorite food was right in front of me, and I didn’t even have to pay for it because Aiden was treating me, I still couldn’t eat.
And let me tell you. I am one big hell of a foodie.
That’s why for a person like me to not be able to eat, you can guess how serious my problem was.
And would you like to know what that problem was?
My problem was an extremely handsome, mouth-watering, scent-bearing, slick, muscular, hazel-eyed man who had been looking directly at me from across the table for quite some minutes now.
’Well, at least you agree that he is one hell of a man,’ Aurora winked at me and I sighed.
Seriously? That wasn’t even the point. The point was that this man was intimidating me!
’What if a man like this intimidates us in bed too?’ Aurora whispered sensually, making my eyes wide and I quickly averted my gaze, feeling my cheeks burn because of what kind of image my fake-wolf portrayed in my head.
I can’t believe she imagines something like that with a person who will decide whether we get to live or die.
