Chapter 95 - 94. Entrapment
Mason watched Sarah’s back as she followed the chairman of Mirae until his vision was covered by a passing waiter and a group of conversing people. His curled fists had been trembling for a while from how much he clenched them to manage his emotions.
No, he couldn’t do that--couldn’t just snatch her away from the host and damage his image.
Why?! Why were there so many pests around his Sarah? It was bad enough that she seemed to be so infatuated with that bodyguard of hers, but now he had to be worried about a random guy the third wife set for Sarah and that damn Kang Daniel.
The random guy was easy to thwart since it didn’t seem like Sarah was serious about him and she only did it to avoid any more blind dates Mina would throw at her. The bodyguard was a bit worrisome, but Mason already found a way to take care of him.
The most troubling was, in the end, Daniel.
No matter how much Mason disliked the man--who was also an heir in the same generation as him--he couldn’t help but admit that Daniel had it much better than him. Be it achievement or wealth, Daniel ranked higher than him.
That was why he let Sarah go on the blind date and didn’t stop Ruby from spreading all kinds of rumors about Sarah in the Circle. He thought it would help separate Daniel from Sarah.
But what was this? Not only the man was still cordial with Sarah, but he even gave her an invitation. And then, the chairman of Mirae himself came to talk to her? No doubt the news would immediately spread and reach their father soon.
And once Lee Hyuk knew? He would push the relationship harder than anyone, since it was the most beneficial thing Sarah could do for the family.
Damn it! Mason hissed and aggressively snatched a glass of wine from a passing waiter, making the man wobble and almost drop the tray. Naturally, Mason didn’t care about a mere waiter and just walked away in the opposite direction of where Sarah went while drinking his wine in anger.
And then paused.
