Chapter 22: New Spells
Logan stood before the library and inhaled sharply, ’Here we go.’ He pushed open the door and entered.
He walked to the librarian who put down the book she was reading and smiled at Logan.
"I was wondering when you’d show up. Here you go." She handed two scrolls to Logan, his spells.
Logan thanked her before heading to his room. He’d ask for the answers to his questions later.
He entered the room and checked for his roommate and luckily, he was not there.
He quickly undid the binding of one and read aloud its name and description:
Dark Space; Rankless- The spell allows the wielder to create a separate space within and without themselves. Range and volume depend on the rank of the user’s mana core.
Logan dropped the spell and picked the other, he also undid its binding and read its description:
Dark Flash; up to C-rank ~ Fuses the caster with a thin membrane of darkness to accelerate their movement. The effect is stronger at night.
Logan closed up both of them and let out a satisfied laugh.
Sure they weren’t necessarily combat-oriented but their potential uses seemed almost boundless.
