Chapter 106 Dr. Gao is a Straightforward Man
The night shift ended, and Jiang An took a cab home alone.
After a heavy snowfall last night, Jing City was submerged in a sea of white. The winter sun shone golden, and as Jiang An stepped outside, she was greeted by strands of sunlight, yet the temperature didn’t seem to rise; the girl sniffled and wrapped her scarf tighter around her neck.
The winter in Jing City seemed especially cold this year, and there was also much more snow than in previous years.
Jiang An bought a pancake at a stall by the hospital entrance to fill her stomach and by the time she got home, she collapsed onto the bed and closed her eyes. Perhaps due to overexertion the night before, she quickly fell into a deep sleep.
She slept until the evening, and when Jiang An got up from bed, the weather outside was gloomy again.
She walked to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror, her face still faintly showing traces of last night’s tears, her hair messy, and her complexion pale as if she were a severely ill patient.
