"When it comes to her health, I won’t compromise no matter what. You can rest assured," Yan Sijue had to make a promise.
Xiaoze smiled and nodded, "That’s more like it..."
"You little brat..." Yan Sijue couldn’t help but curse a little, "Alright, hurry back to bed!"
"Tsk, tsk, despising me again, huh..." Xiaoze rolled his eyes before zipping upstairs before Daddy could lose his temper!
Yan Sijue looked at the boy’s back, speechless.
However, Xiaoze did remind him that he had noticed Yiliang’s energy was not as it used to be but hadn’t realized it was this serious.
Especially knowing she had gone through so much suffering, even at the brink of death before...
He returned to the room, looking at her defenseless sleeping face, feeling an overwhelming sense of tenderness and caring he wanted to give her.
"Yiliang..." He pulled her into his arms, whispering softly.
She responded vaguely, almost instinctively searching for warmth, then... burrowed into his embrace!
Ah... She let out a satisfied sigh, with a sweet smile still on her lips.
Yan Sijue suddenly wanted to know what lovely dream she was having and whether he was in it.

In the following days, Mu Yiliang lived a rather dreamy life. Yan Sijue seemed to have plenty of free time lately, staying by her side almost every day, pampering her so much that even Xiaoze couldn’t stand it.
"Mommy, sinking to this level, aren’t you ashamed?" Xiaoze recently had his sarcasm mode fully activated.
Mu Yiliang lifted her chin slightly, graciously saying, "It’s not that bad."
She didn’t intend to be like this, but Yan Sijue was being too much. He even insisted on carrying her to the bathroom for her baths... It wasn’t she who was decadent; clearly, it was Yan Sijue!
Ever since he tossed aside the big mess at FIS, this man seemed to have nothing to do! Where was his R&D center? Didn’t he need to oversee it?
As she was internally ranting, the man walked into the bedroom with a tray, placing it in front of her, "This is ice cream made by Housekeeper Li, zero fat. Try it."
Mu Yiliang’s eyes instantly lit up, she scooped a spoonful into her mouth, and her face scrunched up with satisfaction.
"It’s so delicious!" Mu Yiliang was moved.
Though the texture was simple, it was incredibly tasty! She was practically ready to marry Housekeeper Li!
Young Master Yan looked at her indulgently.
Xiaoze couldn’t stand it anymore, snatching the spoon from Mu Yiliang’s hand, scooping a spoonful for himself, and then exclaiming, "It’s too good! I want to learn from Uncle Li!"
And with that, he wisely left, knowing full well that even if he didn’t, Daddy would find a way to shoo him away...
Yan Sijue was pleased with his son’s tactfulness, pulling Mu Yiliang into his arms, lowering his head to lick her lips, and chuckling softly, "Yiliang, I might need to leave for two days."
Mu Yiliang couldn’t hide her delight, "You’re going on a business trip?" Then realizing she seemed too happy, she quickly amended herself in a somber tone, "You’re going on a business trip?"
Yan Sijue grit his teeth, unwillingly stealing a kiss, "There are some underground dealings and people that need appeasement. Don’t worry, I’ll be back in at most two days."
Mu Yiliang nodded enthusiastically, "I understand, after all, you’re a person who manages both the underworld and legitimate businesses! Rest assured, I’ll take good care of myself and Xiaoze."
At least this man knew to get on with his work, Mu Yiliang felt gratified.
However, Yan Sijue suddenly felt a strong reluctance to part, if not for considering her health, he would’ve wanted to take her with him.
"Be good and wait for me at home..." He hugged her tightly, his voice becoming husky.
