The whole body aches terribly.
Mu Yiliang lay lazily on the bed, not wanting to move at all.
Suddenly, a hand supported her up, and a gentle voice called, "Yiliang?"
She drowsily opened her eyes for a moment and then closed them again.
"How about eating something before you sleep?" Yan Sijue coaxed her patiently.
"I don’t want to eat..." she frowned, "Eating at night will make me gain weight."
"You’ve already lost so much weight, why are you still dieting?" Yan Sijue frowned unhappily!
"I just don’t want to eat anyway!" She wanted to sleep, sleep!
"How about drinking a glass of milk?" He brought the straw to her lips, coaxing her, "Just take a sip, like a good girl."
She frowned discontentedly, but finally bit the straw and drank the milk in one go.
"Finished..." she licked her lips and then leaned back into his arms, falling asleep again.
Yan Sijue chuckled helplessly, carefully laid her back on the bed, tucked her in, and then turned off the lights and went downstairs.
Her stamina had really declined a lot compared to six years ago...
Yan Sijue slightly frowned, remembering the scar on her shoulder and the mark left when she gave birth to Xiaoze, feeling somewhat heavy-hearted.
He didn’t expect that while he was engulfed in anger for those six years, she had suffered a lot too.
Xiaoze, in his pajamas, was waiting outside for him: "Mommy fell asleep?"
"Yeah." Yan Sijue patted his head, "Still angry?"
Xiaoze snorted heavily!
"Daddy, I have something to tell you." But thinking of his purpose, Xiaoze still posed seriously.
"Oh?" Yan Sijue raised an eyebrow in surprise and sat on the sofa, "Tell me while sitting."
So Xiaoze sat opposite him, with his little arms and legs, trying hard to put on an adult posture, which was very amusing.
"Mommy’s health isn’t too good."

"Why?" His voice turned tense.
"It’s my fault." Xiaoze sighed, "When she gave birth to me, she had a hemorrhage and almost... sigh, so she was left with health issues. I’ve been trying to help her recover, but it seems my efforts have been wasted over the past few months."
Yan Sijue’s expression changed!
He didn’t expect it to be so serious! That means he almost lost not only his son but her as well!
Yan Sijue felt both hindsight fear, worry, and relief, looking somberly at his son.
"So, what I’m saying is, Daddy, you shouldn’t bother her too much lately." Xiaoze finally explained his intention.
Yan Sijue’s expression twisted slightly.
"Do you know what your mommy and I are doing?"
Xiaoze elegantly rolled his eyes, "Do you still think I’m a three-year-old kid?"
Yan Sijue really wanted to give this kid a smack—being too smart had its downside! He knew things he shouldn’t know!
He’s not three! But he’s only six!
"Anyway, you also need to be extra careful, don’t spoil her too much." Xiaoze continued, "She mostly likes junk food, and you must resist it! Especially you, Daddy, don’t let her sweet talk sway you!"
Yan Sijue’s lips twitched slightly!
Having his son lecturing him about such things really challenged his dignity as a father and a man!
"Do you think I’m that fickle?" He squinted his eyes.
"In other aspects maybe not, but when facing mommy, you really..." Xiaoze left his words hanging very politely, the implication was clear.
