Chapter 21: Public Disclosure
The atmosphere at breakfast was still a bit awkward, but this strangeness seemed to be gradually becoming familiar.
After breakfast, Su Yanyi went back to her room to change clothes. When she came downstairs, she saw Qin Jiran sitting in the living room reading the script. He didn't seem to have any intention of changing clothes and going out, so she asked, "Aren't you going to the company?" She had planned to go together with him.
"I won't go. I'm studying the script. If possible, I want to set up my production crew. What do you think?" The script was provided by Su Yanyi, which he liked very much. After serious consideration, he thought of trying to create his crew. In fact, this idea wasn't just formed; he had been planning his life for a long time. Acting couldn't last a lifetime, and it was inevitable to move from in front of the camera to behind the scenes. He had been learning about directing and production knowledge. Now that such an opportunity had come, how could he let it pass.
"If you like it, that's good. You can talk to Kang Zhong about any help you need." Su Yanyi also supported Qin Jiran's choice, as such a choice would lead to more development.
Su Yanyi left, and Sun Minyi came to pick her up again. Recently, Sun Minyi hadn't been having a good time either; it was as if there was some secret that was keeping her out, and she always felt that the distance between her and Su Yanyi, as well as Kang Zhong, was growing further apart.
Had something happened? Sun Minyi seriously pondered but couldn't figure out what was different.
As they were about to reach the company, Su Yanyi's phone rang.
"President Su, there is a bunch of reporters blocked downstairs at the company, all asking about you and Mr. Qin. I've come forward to explain, but these people still refuse to leave. It feels a bit strange, as if someone has specifically called them over," Kang Zhong said, his tone slightly heavy. He was annoyed by these reporters; it was none of their business that the couple was dating, and yet they insisted on meddling, which was truly irritating.
"Keep it under control and tell those reporters that if they don't want to be simultaneously blacklisted by Splendid and Dragon Media, they shouldn't do what they shouldn't do!" Dragon Media, owned by Mother Su, was the leading company in the media industry. Although there were a few companies that were competitors, they wouldn't deliberately bother Su Yanyi. Warned in this way, most media organizations would give face.
