Chapter 196: If Only He Knew How Right He Was
DAHLIA POV
I was dying, this time around I was positive that I was dying!
My whole body hurts, it felt like I had been trampled upon like a thousand horses. There were moments were I can barely remember things or anything that had happened to me. Sometimes my whole body shut down and I retired to the place where I wasn’t aware of anything. I become numb to it all, sometimes it was good but other times I become aware of everything that happened to me.
Every cuts, every bruises, every groping and every whips that lash time at me. They also laugh while inflicting pain, their sounds mocking as they did so. They also cursed me out anytime they call my name. It was times like that that I wished that I hadn’t said what I said the last time. I wished to the gods that I had kept my mouth shut instead of signing my rights away to that sadistic soldier. I wished I had been more selfish with myself and run when I had the chance. I shouldn’t have turned back and tried to save anyone, I should have saved myself first.
Because now, who is going to save me?
No one, absolutely no one. I had long given up hope that anyone was going to come and save me. There was no one that was coming to save me. The soldier whose name I’ve come to learn was Callum had succeeded in doing what he had promised he was going to do, he finally broke me! Something I never thought would happen but it would appear that Callum finally succeeded in it.
I do not know how long I’ve been down here. The pit is where they call it, a place where time doesn’t exist. Nothing but only darkness. I can barely remember anything here. I do not know what days of the week it was and I do not think I care.
I stopped caring about things a long time ago!
The sound of keys jingling made me crack and eye open and I felt dread feel my body as I heard the door to the gates on my cell open. My body tensed on the ground as I squinted at who was coming. I noticed two figures make their way inside.
"You got five minutes!" A voice snarled and I released a whimper when I heard the voice of a soldier.
The door soon slammed after that, enveloping me in darkness but I could feel the presence of someone inside with me. I wasn’t alone. I sniffed as I sat up straight, the chains rattling as I did so. "Who...who’s there?" I breathed out starting to get terrified.
