Chapter 162: Temprorary Blackness
Fuck!
I cursed as I stared at the keeper who had a blank look on her face as if a sharp knife wasn’t pressed against her neck. She stood in front of the man in the midst of all the shattered relics and fallen bodies, a calm expression on her face. Her long white robes were stained with ash and it also had tiny specks of blood on it. The blade the man was holding pressed against her jawline and I clenched my fist tighter when I noticed a trickle of blood starting to roll down her pale skin and yet, she just stared ahead and I was starting to think perhaps it was mercy that she couldn’t see. The horrors in front of her wouldn’t have kept her upright.
"You take that like knife of that little girl!"
"Little?" The man asked his voice tinged with disbelief as he pressed the knife a little tighter, "There’s nothing about the little about her. She seems to know so much for just a little girl!"
"You are right, I am not little and I know so much just like I know that there’s no way that you will be making it out of here alive!" The keeper spoke in her calm tone but she winced a little when the man pressed the knife against her.
"Hey!" I yelled as I stared at him in anger, I needed to shut this down quickly, "Just stop alright, don’t hurt her!"
"Then do as I fucking say and drop your weapons!" He yelled and I could tell how angry he was with the veins forming lines across his forehead.
I turned to look at the women and together we got out of our hiding places but we still didn’t drop the weapons. We turned to stare at the man and my gaze moved towards the keeper who was staring directly at me as if she could sense just where I was.
"Are you all deaf? Drop the weapons or I’ll slice her tiny little neck and don’t think I won’t do it!" The man yelled as he glared at us.
