"That's good to hear. What hospital is she in again? I will send someone to look after her."
Max was glad to hear her mother is stable and has a happy smile on his beautiful face.
He was delighted because, as long as her mother is in the hospital, this woman can't just quit and run away.
It's not something he can afford now, as this Erza is very good.
Not just in figure and looks but also her managing and handling the business, she has a natural talent.
It is because of this woman, Rickie was able to go around picking women left and right without caring about his new business as it was being managed by Erza.
She single-handedly not only turned his start-up into a unicorn but also managed it all alone, letting him reap the benefits of having backers for support and money.
Oh yeah, his company, because being the self-centered protagonist, how could he give her any share in the company? 100% belonged to him, heck, there was not even a salary given to her, as being Rickie's woman was enough.
Her needs and wants would be taken care of by him....if he remembers them.
So, of course, Max wants to get this dedicated worker heroine, as he too wants to enjoy the benefits of the protagonist.
Hence why he is trying to butter her up, and what's a better way to do that than to show care for the most important person in her life?
