Chapter 58: Reconciliation (1)
Turning around, Haruka walked off towards the balcony, seemingly in need of some fresh air.
Seeing this reaction from her, Fubara looked on at Kenni with a puzzled look in his eyes, while Kenji could only smile wryly to the situation.
The moment Fubara got in, he almost forgot that he and Haruka were in a scuffle, and had still not settled it.
" What was that about? I thought the young lady was having some fun with the way she laughed and all?" Fubara said, asking with an inquisitive gaze that seemed to want to pierce through Kenji’s thoughts.
Scratching the back of his head, Kenji knew that he would have to tell Fubara about their argument now, as if he didn’t, that puzzled gaze would not leave him.
He had stayed with Fubara for two years, and so he understood a bit about the man. When he’s furious, you would never realize it, but when he’s inquisitive and curious, the look of curiosity would always be in his eyes, and he would make sure he got an answer no matter what.
And so he signalled for Fubara to follow him, and immediately Fubara understood Kenji’s signal, he ruffled the hairs of the children once more, as he handed each of them candies to occupy themselves.
He then got up and followed Kenji into the dining area, Where they both sat right across each other.
" So what? Why did the young lady suddenly walked off when we were all having fun and laughing?" Fubara asked inquisitively.
With a small sigh escaping his lips, Kenji began to explain all that had happened right from this morning, till later this evening.
Emphasizing on both his wrongs and Haruka’s reactions to them. Till now, he still felt that she was overreacting to the situation, but he had no way to tell her that and reconcile with her.
