Chapter 57: Visit From An Old Friend.
After a while of chasing Gorvan around, Kenji was finally able yo catch him and make him stay true to his deal. Paying him a thousand gold coins.
Though bregrudgingly, Gorvan asked Kenji to return in a few days to claim his weapon, which he had decided to be a Gauntlet, but Kenji didn’t know about that yet.
And so, after ending all the drama with the Calgroth, Kenji decided that it was time for he and Haruka to return back home.
As they walked back, Kenij was a bit relieved. He wasn’t returning back with a sack of dreadiron, nor with an exhausted body.
He was returning back home, safe and sound, without the worries of the outside world no longer on his shoulder.
Now, all he could think about was getting home, and giving his three cute little children a biiiiigg hug!
Though, as they walked back, silence still ensued between the beast and beast tamer. Neither of them planning to break the silence anytime soon, and neither of them hoping to say sorry first.
Haruka of course wanted to apologise, hut couldn’t, as he felt all her effort to bring Kenji out of the shadow of someone else’s and into the light would have all been futile.
But Kenji on the other hand was particularly stubborn about the topic now. As he now had no intention of apologizing, nor taking Haruka’s advise. Heck! He didn’t even think about it anymore, as all that was glaring into his mind was Leo, Leia, and Pheia.
