Chapter 18: You Technically Sold Your Daughter!
" you want me to what?!" Kenji exclaimed in shock and suprise. He hoped his ears has failed him at that moment, but he knew that they didn't and he had heard right, for an immortal Phoenix wants him to marry her daughter!
" Yes, I want you to find my daughter and get married to her. I know it must sound strange for me a godly Phoenix to be asking a regular human to get married to her daughter, but I don't really have a choice here," she said solemnly.
" What do you mean you don't have a choice? I can't marry your daughter," Kenji said, not wanting to welcome the thought of marriage. He wasn't ready.
" Look, I saved your life, so you're technically indebted to me, and when I tell you how I want you to repay me, you outright refuse?" Shreya said, clearly dissatisfied with Kenji's response.
" At least give me three good reasons why is should do that," Kenji said. He knew that she wasn't going to give up, so then why don't he just ask why she was asking him to do such. I mean seriously, marriage?!! No way! Nah oh, he isn't getting married yet!
" I could give you a hundred reasons why, but I feel it would be better for me to tell you a story instead. My story!"
