Chapter 355: The House On The Cliff
After a quick snap of my fingers, I was cleaned and dressed again. There was nothing that I could do about Salvatore slowly leaking from between my legs; I just had to hope that my panties could take it.
"You ready?" purred Ronan, already dressed. Despite his claims, he could move fast when he wanted to.
"Any idea what is happening?" I asked, taking his offered hand and walking out of the bedroom. In front of us was the ladder that acted like stairs, and honestly, I didn’t think I was really up for them. I felt like I had just run a marathon, my legs were burning and one wrong move and my back was going to break.
Ronan, as if seeing my dilemma, pulled me onto his back. "No idea," he admitted as my arms wrapped around his neck and my legs around his hips. "With dem, it could be anythin’ from someone getting more food den another or someone loosin’ a leg. I’m votin’ for someone loosin’ a leg. With what dey just interrupted, someone better be bleedin’."
Climbing up the three ladders to the main deck, he helped me off his back before we took stock of the boat. People were running around like crazy, some screaming, others bleeding. None of that really bothered me. It was the giant mountains on either side of the ship that caused me to pause for a second.
"You couldn’t have avoided the massive mountains?" I called out, narrowing my eyes at the crow who was still perched on the ship’s wheel. "I would have thought that even you would have seen them."
The crow cawed back at me, its wings out like it was throwing up its hands in disgust. "Hey!" I answered back. "I’m not the one who crashed the ship! Or did you really think that we could have made it through that slit?"
Once again, the crow snapped back at me before taking off.
"Nice conversation?" asked Dante as he, Luca, and the others walked over to where I was standing.
