Be Careful What You Wish For: A Zombie Apocalypse

Chapter 346 - 140 Degree Difference

Time seemed to stop at the woman’s announcement, and those who could ran to the window. Sure enough, the falling snow had completely stopped.

A full moon shone over the frozen tundra as only the very tops of trees could be seen in the distance. An eerie howl of an artic wolf called out to its pack, spreading the good news: the snow had stopped falling.

"Ah, shit," grunted Luca, taking in a deep breath as he looked around at his brothers. The other men had the same uneasy look on their faces as he did.

Colt, however, scoffed from where he was standing beside Luca. "What? You liked the snow? I can tell you now I was already done with it after the first ten minutes. At least now, I should be able to get out tomorrow and try to find some food."

"Okay," muttered Beau, walking over to Luca, a look of resignation on his face. "Who made a wish?"

"And what is going to come next?" nodded Dante.

The nine men had been around Hattie to know that there was always some sort of fallout to a wish. They just couldn’t figure out what the downside of not having snow could possibly be.

-----

"The snow stopped," announced Sadie as she looked out the windows. "I will fully admit that I was scared that it would never stop."
