Chapter 319: A Reward
I watched from behind the man of the hour as everyone in the room turned to him in fear. "See," I pressed, my voice dancing around him. "If you think that Tank will obey just anyone, stop having the poor cannon fodder playing with him. Why don’t you step up and show off? I think we’d all like to see what you have."
Catching a few nodding heads, I couldn’t help but smile brighter. Jonas was like a worm on the hook. The more he struggled, the weaker he would become until someone came up and ate him.
"Does anyone else want to try?" asked the Commander as he looked around the room. Not a single one of his men and women would raise their heads to look at him. "Fine," he sighed after a moment. "I won’t force the issue. Go back to your accommodations. Those on the schedule, get back to work and if you were on free time, go enjoy it."
Before he could actually say the word ’dismissed,’ the door was already opened, and people were quickly filing out.
"Such a shame," I tisked as Tank got up and walked over to my side. Crouching down in front of him, I rubbed his face between my hands. "Who’s a good boy?" I purred, kissing his cheeks. "But I wasn’t kidding. If you want kisses, then you need to brush your teeth, okay?"
"You are fucked in the head, you know that, right? He just killed two people, and you are treating him like some sort of lapdog?" demanded Jonas, slamming his hand down on the table.
"Of course I am," I replied, blinking up at the man. "He is mine. Why should I be afraid? Are you afraid of your gun?"
Jonas’ sneered at me as he placed his hand on the butt of his gun. "This thing isn’t capable of killing without me."
"Exactly," I purred, coming to my feet. "Tank isn’t capable of killing without me. It’s my finger on the trigger, so why should I be scared? You, on the other hand, might want to sleep with one eye open. Now that Tank knows your face, if anything happens to me, he will rip out your throat before he goes looking for me. Won’t you Tank?"
