Chapter 269: You Can Call Me Lucifer
Time resumed as Mad Dog dropped to his knees, blood leaking from his eyes, ears, and nose as he clutched his head in pain.
"What—" started Gideon as the Scavengers took one look at their leader and backed away. "What did you do to him?" Even the Blackguard captain had turned pale as he looked up at me in fear.
"Not much," I shrugged, pulling out the lollypop from my mouth and kicking Mad Dog in the stomach. "I just kind of fucked with his head a bit. I’m sure he’ll be right as rain in a few minutes. Give him some time."
"He’s fucking bleeding out everywhere," cried one of the Scavengers as the rest looked around for the nearest exit. "How is he going to be fine?"
"Well," I replied, cocking my head to the side. "I made him relive everything that he had put his victims through. You did know he was a serial killer, right? I guess he had a thing for young girls and hated the idea that there was something he couldn’t have. But that’s beside the point. As soon as he is done experiencing their pain and suffering, then he’ll be just fine."
"All his victims died," hissed the big bald dude as he swung his rifle over at me. "They are dead."
"Oh," I shrugged. "Then I guess that changes things. My bad. Sorry about that."
"If you think about it," interjected Harper, coming to his feet. Walking over to where I was standing, he crossed his arms in front of his chest and stared at Gideon. "This is justice. He is reaping what he sowed, and I, for one, think that it is a great thing."
There were a few members of the Blackguard who seemed to be nodding with Harper’s statement and even more eyes that turned to me with fear and awe written all over their faces.
