Chapter 61: You Can Call Me Pride
I heard the door to Tank’s apartment open before he let out a long string of curse words. "What the fucking hell happened here?" he demanded, spinning around with me still in his arms. "I’ve been robbed."
Confused, it took me more than a minute to realize what he meant. "Shoot," I grumbled, peeking into Teddy’s storage. The size had more than tripled as all the supplies from the Dragon’s Lair continued to be dumped into my space.
This was not the way to go around making friends.
While I was slightly panicking, not knowing whose was whose to replace what I had unknowingly stolen, I was also impressed at how much stuff this place had. Like seriously, I might have even been worried that I wouldn’t have any more space left for everything if I didn’t know better.
"Sorry about that," I continued. "Can you tell me what was here?" Wrinkling my nose in frustration, I realized the first real downside of the supply wish I had made. It made sense when I was out on the road, but now... it could get me in a lot of trouble.
Tank seemed to study me for a moment before letting out a long sigh. "Do I want to know?" he asked, his voice only somewhat put out.
"I made a wish a while ago that all supplies in a certain area around me would be mine," I answered, still feeling a bit guilty. "All wishes have a downside."
"Is there a limit on the number of supplies? Or can I expect everyone to notice their stuff is missing?"
The look on my face must have given away what I was thinking because Tank only laughed at me. "You really are Trouble, aren’t you?"
