Chapter 3: System To The Test
Chapter 3
Through the array of potential magical abilities that everyone looked up to him for, he was also found out to be quite smart for his age by those around him.
Though the world's system had changed some normal human standards were still upheld; even if magic made things easier, the brains to use it were still most necessary.
Aspiring sorcerers were usually taken to schools especially made for them and were allowed the free will to choose their own paths in life after a certain age.
For him, and children like him, everything starting from their childhood was different; they were offered education by their families and clansmen and only joined special sorcerer forces under the clan's or family's name.
He had soon turned five and the expectations thrown at him had only increased; his magical training began sooner than most and his physical progress was great as well.
Now stood by the side of a young man with his fist held out and a boulder in front of him, he was currently undergoing his normal routine of daily physical training.
" Now then Master Megumi, let's see how far you can go today." The man said, turning his gaze towards him, " Your external development is taking quite slowly but I'm sure you'll get there someday."
Closing his eyes, he could feel the dark energy inside him swirling around. With a decent amount of concentration, he made it slowly flow towards his right hand and quickly sent a punch towards the huge boulder.
*Bang!*
The noise created by the punch was loud but all it resulted in was a slight dent and a crack that was only about five centimeters in length.
