He had been laid in a cradle to rest after being properly fed. Though he was fully conscious, his body would drift off in certain moments due to fatigue; perhaps it was a testament to the fact that he was once again a baby.
His movements were now restricted and all he could do was stay waiting until someone would come and carry him.
" The overall encounter rate of demons over the past few months has reduced drastically but I wouldn't agree that it's a chance for us yet to rest."
" Agreed Mrs. Aoi, I'll do my best to get back in shape in a few months. And of course, I'll train Megumi to be the greatest head the family will ever have... I want his life to be better, at least better than mine but I wonder if that will even be possible considering our current circumstances."
It had been one bombshell after another since the last few hours when he had been conscious and based on everything he heard; he wasn't sure if he was ready yet for what the world was about to throw at him.
" What happens if I don't meet their standards? What if I end up against the main antagonist at some point and have my death guaranteed and on top of that, I have the entire family's hopes on my shoulders."
" I'm glad you're fine with everything that's been happening and I promise to stay by your side until all this is finally able to come to a halt."
