Chapter 104. Abomination 1

P.S. Hey reading buddies! In the previous Chapter, I mentioned that Reo received 300 EXP points, but the correct number is actually 800.

Sorry for the mistake!

On the fifth floor of the prison of Treachery, called the Experimental Floor, in the extraction room.

Tile walls shine under shaky blue lanterns. A blood-stained iron table was in the middle, marked by years of awful deeds. Three cultists, their faces covered by blank, emotionless masks, moved like machines.

Their gray robes dragged on the floor as they set up their tools: glass vials, long needles, and a scary device with glowing red runes that seemed alive.

The iron door squeaked open, and two cultists dragged in a weak prisoner. His torn clothes barely covered his bruised, bony body, and his scared cries filled the room. "Please, no! Let me go!" His voice shook, too weak to fight as he stumbled forward.

The cultists, cold as stone, pulled him to the table without a word, slamming him down and tying his wrists and ankles with thick leather straps that cut into his skin.

The prisoner twisted, his voice cracking. "I’ll do anything—please, stop!" His begs bounced off the walls, but they’re ignored.

One, holding a needle linked to the rune device, spoke in a flat voice. "Start the draining." He stabbed the needle deep into the prisoner’s arm. The man gasped, jerking against the straps.

Another cultist turned on the rune device, its red light flashing, painting the room in a glow. Thin tubes from the machine hooked to small cuts on the prisoner’s chest. The device buzzed with a low sound, pulling a shiny gold mist—his soul—from the wounds.
