Chapter 1466: Part 1: Warrior Camp No. 3
Thunderflame Faction
Time passes.
I read one news article after another. I was so engrossed that I forgot about the time. Now, I knew what had happened here during my absence.
The whole Star University was under a state of alert.
"Planted spies among us?" I muttered.
No wonder the Purple Mark Guard wanted me to stay inside. Everyone was looking for my whereabouts.
Unlike the previous time, I was not worried.
My eyes flashed with expectation. I was eager to fight against the Purple Mark Warriors and foreign creatures.
One hour later,
I got a call from the Purple Mark Guard. He was waiting outside the door right now. Hearing that, I got up and went to the door.
Creak!
I opened the door and saw the Purple Mark Warrior. I realized that the time had come for me to enter the warrior camp.
A few minutes later,
We arrived in front of the Dean’s office. We walked in, and Dean Jerome was already waiting for us.
I saw Dean Jerome’s reaction. His face was lit as if he were looking forward to seeing something.
Seeing that, I couldn’t help but ponder.
"What is he planning?" I asked myself.
"Sit," Jerome said.
Hearing that, I sat down in the chair opposite him.
"I have decided to send you to the Purple Mark Level Warrior Camp. It’s Warrior Camp No. 3. Your enemies will be at the level of Purple Mark."
"Now that you have reached Gold Mark strength, are you confident you can take them down?" Jerome asked with a smile on his face.
Hearing that, I smiled and said, "I’m ready."
Jerome nodded his head in satisfaction. He had no doubt in the strength of Zack Lockwood.
He could see that the golden aura around Zack Lockwood was blazing.
"Take him to Warrior Camp 3," Jerome said to the Purple Mark Guard.
The Purple Mark Guard nodded. Then I left the Dean’s office. The Purple Mark Guard started taking me to the teleportation platform.
We moved through the mid-air. The Purple Mark Guard was not disturbing the space layers, so as not to alert the hostile Purple Mark Warriors.
Dean Jerome had wiped out almost everyone. Still, they were being careful. The Purple Mark Guard recalled the mistake that happened last time.
He had been blocked by ten Purple Mark Level Assassins, and Zack Lockwood was forced to fight against a Purple Mark Level Warrior in the end.
Though Zack Lockwood was able to kill the person in the end, the Purple Mark Guard didn’t want to make a similar mistake again.
Then they reached Star City and flew over it. I tried to look down, but I could only see a blur in front of my eyes.
The Purple Mark Guard didn’t want to delay any longer. He increased the speed. In the blink of an eye, both of them left the territory of Star City.
They entered the territory of a vast plain. The next city was located a couple of hundred miles away from them.
But the teleportation platform this time was located in a rare place. It was even harder for the hostile forces to find.
Time passed.
The Purple Mark Guard brought Zack Lockwood to a natural ground crack in the wasteland. They entered the fissure, going a couple of hundred meters deep.
The Purple Mark Guard then stopped in front of one of the crevices. The crevice was artificially built. There was a passage going inside.
On the other hand, I saw the dark passage in front of me.
"Where is this?" I asked myself.
The place was icy cold. I looked above; it was nothing but pitch-black darkness. The rocky walls on both sides were wet, drenched in water.
"It’s one of the secret spots. No one knows about it except Dean Jerome and me," the Purple Mark Guard said.
Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows in surprise.
"Then what about the other warriors?" I asked.
The Purple Mark Guard paused and said, "Obviously, there are other teleportation platforms as well. But the Dean fears that they were compromised."
"So he wanted to use this emergency one," he added.
A look of understanding dawned on me.
"Come with me," the Purple Mark Guard said.
I nodded to him. Then we entered the passage and started walking inside. Soon, we came to the teleportation platform.
The teleportation platform was black in color.
The Purple Mark Guard activated it.
Seeing that, my eyes flashed with doubt.
"Whom should I meet there?" I asked.
"Oh, Dean Jerome didn’t say anything," the Purple Mark Guard muttered.
"You will meet an old man called Mike. He is a Legacy Elder—an expert among the Purple Mark Warriors," the Purple Mark Guard said.
"Okay," I replied.
"You can enter the teleportation platform now," the Purple Mark Guard said.
I nodded to him before stepping inside the platform. The next second, black lights lit up.
Buzz!
The next second, I saw a blur in front of my eyes. I disappeared from the spot. Before I knew it, my feet touched the ground.
I opened my eyes and saw a room. The teleportation platform was inside the room.
I stepped out and started walking towards the exit. When I exited the room, I noticed it was another room.
There was a black desk and chair. An old man was sitting behind the desk. He had white hair and brown eyes. He was dressed in black combat clothes.
I noticed blood drops on some parts of the cloth.
Seeing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle.
"Elder Mike," I uttered.
The old man behind the desk was asleep. When he heard the name, he opened his eyes. His gaze fell on the young man.
He immediately saw through the young man. The thick, glowing golden aura stunned him.
"So you are Zack Lockwood. Come and sit here," Mike said.
Hearing the old man’s words, I walked up to the desk and sat opposite him. My gaze then fell on the old man.
The old man looked at me before falling back asleep. I was stunned. I thought he was ready to speak, but he went back to sleep. Should I wake him up?
I decided to wait for a few minutes. I was sure the old man would open his eyes again.
