Chapter 314: Accept the quest
"Yes, Master. Don’t worry—leave this to me. I’ll kill them all..."
Seraphina suddenly spoke up, her voice cold as ice. Her eyes gleamed with a deadly light, the killing intent practically radiating off her.
"I’m in too!" Elyra chimed in right after, nodding firmly.
Magic surged around her, crackling with light and thunder, the energy building in waves.
"But, my lord... disguising ourselves as Dungeon units could be risky. The illusion might not hold up..." Zyraxis said hesitantly.
His illusion magic was impressive, sure—but far from flawless. Especially against high-level enemies, it was full of holes. Any powerful opponent could see right through it. If they got exposed, the whole plan could fall apart in an instant.
"We’re doing it anyway," Ethan said, shaking his head, resolute. "They’re too busy to notice us right now. And even if we do get spotted, we’ll just fight our way through. The key is to sneak in first and strike when the moment’s right. If we miss that window, none of this will matter."
Zyraxis opened his mouth to argue—but stopped himself.
Then, without another word, he cast his illusion spell. In a flash, Ethan, Auremax, and Seraphina were transformed into high-tier Dungeon units—Red Dragons and Shadow Dragons, indistinguishable from the real thing.
"All right. Let’s move."
Ethan’s voice was low and steady. "Seraphina, Auremax—if you see a clear shot to seriously wound any one of the three, don’t hesitate. Don’t get greedy. Just strike. With our current strength, if we can land a critical hit, we can finish the job."
