Reborn: The Tyrant's Obsession

Chapter 354: A woman visits Yu Family these days

Mo Jun gulped.

At this moment, there was a soft click. The door to the VVIP room opened and a nurse stepped out, walking towards the men standing in a visibly ’uncomfortable’ trio.

Instead, she kept her gaze steady on Mo Jun, "You are the patient’s family, right?"

The air stilled the moment those words were uttered.

Ji Yan stiffened.

Mo Jun glanced at Adrian whose face had darkened by a few shades.

He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out of his mouth, due to the pressure in the air.

The nurse had just attended her shift but she immediately understood that there was a little misunderstanding on her part.

She quickly half bowed to them and hurriedly spoke up, "The patient is looking for you."

Adrian’s face darkened even further.

Ji Yan was speechless. "_"

Why was everybody so keen on triggering the hibernating demon?

"It must be a misunderstanding, Second Master. Miss Yu probably wants you to be present at her side at this moment," Ji Yan said.

The lines between Adrian’s brows faded a little, the tension in the air started dispersing.

Mo Jun nodded his head like a chicken, "That’s right... That’s right..."

Not waiting for anybody to utter another word, Adrian turned around and headed towards the room.

But the nurse hesitantly spoke up, "Wait! No... The patient’s not looking for you."

Adrian stopped. The hospital hallways cooled.

The nurse gulped, "M-Mr. Mo... The patient wants to see Mr. Mo!"

...

"Are you mad? You should’ve seen your man’s face just then. It looked like he wanted to skin me alive!"

Ella leaned back on the headboard of the hospital bed, munching an apple as she watched Mo Jun pacing back and forth in front of her.

"I am dizzy. Stop that," Ella blinked.

Mo Jun did not stop at first but after a momentary thought, he turned to her, "Are you feeling unwell? Do I call the doctor?"

Mo Jun was a bit on the edge. Adrian did not seem to be in a great mood already. If something happened to her because of him...

’Crunch’

Mo Jun glanced at the apple in Ella’s hand and gulped softly. He could imagine his head replacing that apple being chewed down in her mouth.

"Calm down," Ella’s voice snapped Mo Jun out of his trance.

Seeing her composure, Mo Jun gave her a suspicious look, "Are you provoking him on purpose? What’s going on between the two of you?"

Ella nibbled on the apple a bit more aggressively before she narrowed her eyes at the man, "What’s the situation with the Yu Family right now?"

Mo Jun was stunned for a moment.

"I know you have your people keeping an eye on all their movements," Ella said, without much of an expression on her face.

"You... How?" Mo Jun glanced at her in disbelief.

He had been low-key in his actions. Not a single person, except for some of his very trusted people knew that he was keeping an eye on the Yu Family.

Then, how did Ella know of it? And why did she look so unfazed by it? Mo Jun couldn’t understand what was going on no matter how much he thought about it.

Ella glanced at him silently.

They had discussed Esther briefly during their celebration dinner and before that. And Mo Jun had sounded like he had completely moved on from Esther.

And it seemed very convincing because he looked absolutely unmoved while talking about Esther’s involvement with Max. But there was one thing that Mo Jun did not know.

In her previous life, Ella had seen up close how obsessed he was with Esther. No matter what Esther did, he would keep her close to himself.

It seemed bizarre why he was so fixated on her now that she thought about it. But putting two and two together, Ella knew that he couldn’t have easily let go of Esther.

If the Mo Jun she had known in her previous life was the same as the one standing in front of her then there was no way he would cut off Esther so swiftly.

Ella did not know what the reason was but there was something between Mo Jun and Esther that did not let him move on from her.

So, she made the wild guess and asked him if he was keeping an eye on her closely.

And surely, his reaction did not disappoint.

"How do you know?" Mo Jun repeated, almost in disbelief, "Nobody knows of it and..."

"It doesn’t matter," Ella cut him off.

Mo Jun looked at her, stunned and speechless.

Ella shrugged her shoulders, "It doesn’t matter what you are doing. I just want to know the details."

Seeing how aloof she was, Mo Jun did not know whether he should be concerned about how she came to know about his actions or relieved that she did not have much of a reaction.

"What do you want to know?"

"Has there been anything strange lately?" Ella asked without a hitch.

"Strange? There has been nothing as such. The Yu Family has been embroiled in plenty of controversies but they somehow managed to get out of it. Even Esther... has started establishing herself in the entertainment industry... Wait.."

Mo Jun trailed off.

Ella raised an eyebrow.

"There is something..."

"A woman visits the Yu Family these days. And my people did not report it to me for a strange reason..." Mo Jun seemed to ponder over it for a minute.

A soft glint flickered in Ella’s eyes, "What’s the reason?"

"They thought it was you."

’Silence’

Mo Jun’s men did not report this matter to him for the same reason and he accidentally caught sight of the woman from one of the recordings that they sent.

At the first sight, even Mo Jun fell for it and believed that it was Ella.

But knowing about the strained relationships between the Yu Family and Ella, it did not make sense for them to be so friendly with each other.
