" So you know? I’ll get you a check, don’t worry about it," Terry said with a smile on his face. Lukas today was just so much bigger than they anticipated that it even blew Phillies Chairman’s mind.
" You know the mayoral elections are coming, right? How about you promote the mayor who came to your contract signing event"? Terry asked, while they were walking back towards Lukas’s truck, where he could change his clothes.
" I don’t know anything about that mayor, though," Lukas said while shrugging his shoulders, and then he didn’t even let Terry finish his talk and entered the truck.
Lukas didn’t want to involve himself in politics, not just yet at least, he wanted to be a neutral force for now at least.
Lukas, after changing into his normal clothes and seeing the brand he was wearing, sighed!
They didn’t even pay me shit. If I walk around wearing these clothes, it’ll be free marketing for them. I will need a new type of clothes without brand names, just plain and simple ones, or maybe some sponsored ones.
Lukas smilingly left the truck. Terry was still standing there, but this time around Henry also came in. He was looking happy and pleased with himself, he was proud of Lukas and his achievement so far.
" As we were talking, that mayor is really a good person, and I can vouch for him," Terry said. He was almost insisting.
" Yeah. Nope, we’ve read that contract several times, and there was no clause in it to support a political party, nor are we going to take any money to do that," Henry said while giving a Phillies jacket to Lukas.
