Chapter 18: Getting a Huge Bonus.
Lukas, getting the ball, was happy as he felt more comfortable holding this. The fat coach was, although, teaching him something when he went to the dugout after getting out, but everything went over his head.
I guess he told me to get the three batters out as fast as I can, without giving a run.
Lukas then cracked his neck while standing on the mound, the field was full of people because their university was ahead, and this was the first time in a while.
As Rutgers University was their arch nemesis in every sport, while they can't beat them in academic performance, losing in sports was shameful as well.
The Rutgers dugout was as quiet as it could be because there was no counter for Lukas's super speed ball, they were not sure how to respond, and even their best batter was not saying anything.

The more Rutger hesitated, the more the crowd was boiling, and everyone was enjoying their time in the field, and the crowd was so loud that many professors even came to watch what was happening.
Lukas was standing there casually as there was no batter to bowl to, and he was thinking about which phone to get, as this was not the age of smartphones, so he had to get a Nokia or something.
As Lukas was thinking about the phone, the batter took the bat while he didn't make any eye contact with Lukas and came straight to the batter's box, then he looked at Lukas's way only once and nodded firmly.
Lukas smiled, then rubbed the ball in his hand in the gloves he was wearing, then his leg went up as usual, and he threw the ball as fast as he could.
