Chapter 176: Monster Queen Elimination(Part 2)
"Come on, get a bit lower, let me clip those wings," Smirked Colt, as the Monster Queen he was fighting narrowed its eyes at him warily.
He was up against a Griffin Monster Queen, a Monster that usually had the head and wings of an eagle and the body and tail of a lion.
As for the Monster Queen, it didn’t have any front legs, but its hind legs were longer and more limber than regular Griffins. Its wings grew out from a lower spot compared to regular Griffins as well, they usually grow from their shoulder blades, but the Queen’s wings were positioned on its sides, just below its shoulders.
Its tail was thicker and longer than usual, with a sharp, narrow spike extending out of the end, and the tips of its ribs were poking out of its chest, sharp and curved.
As Colt then fired out a blast of blood up at it, the Monster Queen swiftly veered across to evade it, before letting out a sharp screech as it swooped down towards Colt with immense speed.
Colt sprang back as it closed in and swiped its talons across at him, deliberately letting the Monster graze his chest, a wide smirk spreading out across his face as trickles of blood ran down his torso.
A hint of confusion appeared in the Monster Queen’s eyes before it quickly flew back up as Colt extended out a blood tendril and whipped it at the Monster, a shallow cut appearing across its chest as it shot back up into the air.
It then zipped across the air as Colt unleashed a barrage of blood arrows at it, evading the attack before screeching sharply as a couple of the arrows grazed the side of its body, narrowly missing its wings.
"Wow, based on the look in your eyes just then, you’re smart enough to realize that I let you scratch me on purpose, aren’t you? Cool. Though, I was hoping for a slightly deeper scratch," Colt sighed wistfully, before a stiff gusts of winds hit him as the Monster Queen began flapping its wings at him with all its strength.
