Chapter 128: Swapped(Part 2)
"O-okay, just...just act natural. No, wait, scratch that...we need to act like each other. Uh...hey, look at me, I like pain," Remarked Lexia, as she and Colt approached the Knight outpost in Garnet City.
"Yeah, real natural. You’re overthinking it, no one in our outpost seemed to notice anything when we dropped off that Noble," Pointed out Colt in response, before trying not to laugh as Lexia nearly bumped into a pole, still struggling with the change in depth perception.
"D-Don’t you dare laugh at me! A-Anyway, about what you said...the Knights in our Amber Village outpost don’t know us that well, but it’s different here. Aster and Tacitus have known us for a really long time, they’ll definitely notice. We need to get Tacitus to use his Nullification on us without rousing any suspicion," She replied with a grimace.
"Except, you’re not very good at acting. Trying to act like me will definitely be a lot more suspicious than just playing it cool."
"Sh-Shut up, l-let’s see how convincingly you can act as me!" She shot back defensively.
"Okay, sounds like fun...you fucking idiot, I’ll rip your dick off!" Declared Colt with a huff.
"Wha-...I-I do not sound like that!" She protested indignantly.
"I don’t know, I felt like I totally nailed that."
"Wh-whatever, let’s just play it cool and hope they don’t notice," She sighed in exasperation, as the building came into sight.
The two of them approached the entrance, Lexia trying a bit too hard to act nonchalant and appeared rather stiff, but not enough for the Knights guarding the entrance to notice.
The guards let them in as they walked over, before entering the building and looking around for Tacitus.
