Chapter 25: The reveal **
"Caius, you’re..."
"A Vampire," Caius admitted immediately. The signs of struggle, suspiciously gone from his voice.
That was because it was all an act.
Sure Kaya’s blood was becoming irresistible, but it was not to the extent of him being forced to show off his fangs. He revealed this because he wanted to.
If he wanted to progress on the path of a true Vampire, Caius was going to have to feed. Arlette was great and was even enough for now because she was so much stronger than he was but even that would wane. He needed more partners. He needed others who could accept his Vampirism and let him feed on them and he decided Kaya would be first.
As he studied her face, he noted that his plan was still on track. He just admitted to being a Vampire and she hadn’t turned and run. That was a very good sign.
"I’ve—I’ve only heard stories..." Kaya said and gulped. Her mind was fuzzy and she found it hard not to focus on how serious this was when her body was all warm and tingly.
Caius couldn’t read minds but he knew what was happening. In a sense. It was why he had to pick his moment. He had to get Kaya aroused as usual, take her to a certain level of pleasured delirium before revealing his true nature hoping it would cloud her judgment enough to let her ignore what he was.
"You’re mad," Samantha said. She wasn’t speaking in Caius’ head this time. She appeared by his side but was, of course, only visible to him.
