Chapter 35: A Brief Moment
Even when drunk, Julia’s tongue is as sharp as ever.
She is trying to instigate Adam by bringing up the thing he wants the most, and it’s not Jack’s wealth; it’s Julia herself.
Adam can’t deny Julia’s claim because she is right. Adam doesn’t care about Jack’s money, his obsession has always been with Julia. He has never desired a woman more than Julia.
Is Julia the most beautiful woman he has ever seen? No. Is Julia the hottest woman he has ever seen? No. Is Julia the sexiest woman he has ever seen? No. No one would deny that Julia checks all the boxes to be an incredibly desirable woman. But her beauty is not out of this world to be obsessed over.
So why this obsession? Why is Adam obsessed with Julia even if he can have so much better now that he has regressed back with a much better body?
Well, it’s because it’s his desire. All that constant mocking, poking, putting him down, making fun of him for being a loser, all that built up into an uncontrollable aggression. And adding his past loser behavior into the mix, that aggression gave birth to his lust.
The desire to put Julia in her place. To make her squirm beneath him as he fucks her, roughing her up. To make her submit completely to him. This is what Adam has always wanted. This is his obsession. It’s not the sex, but the act of the domination itself. He wants nothing more than to make Julia his slave. He wants his words to be her law.
In his past life, he couldn’t do it because he was a loser. But now he has gotten a second chance, and he will make sure that he succeeds this time.
"Come on, are you just going to stare? Do something, say something. Don’t prove me right by being a pathetic loser," Julia continues to instigate him.
Adam takes a step forward, cornering Julia against a wall, making sure she has nowhere to escape, and then a smirk appears on his face.
"You really have a sharp tongue on you, don’t you? But let’s be real here. We both know I am not going to get so easily provoked by your cheap words," Adam says, closing the distance between them even further.
