Chapter 34: Drunk State
As Leila heard Adam’s answer, she found it satisfying.
He didn’t deny that he was doing this to impress his father, but he also admitted to liking it. She didn’t doubt him because she saw the way he worked.
It wasn’t a work of someone who loathed the job.
She realized that she had misjudged Adam a little. She thought he was just like every other guy who only has one thing on his mind, and that is sex.
Though the same could be said for Adam, as he did check her out, he also has character and isn’t a complete douche. And it’s very easy for someone like Adam to be a douche, as he has the money and looks to go with it.
But Adam turned out to be much better. He is handsome, charismatic, and doesn’t mind coming down to the level of normal people to interact with them.
It’s quite rare to find someone like Adam. He has made a positive impression on Leila, which is extremely hard, as she hates most men.
After driving for a while, Adam stops his car as he arrives at the destination Leila had entered in his GPS. "We are here," Adam says.
Leila nods. "Thank you," she says as Adam unlocks the car. Leila sees this and opens the car door before getting out. She looks at Adam one last time before closing the door.
"Have a good night," Adam says and drives away, leaving Leila staring.
When Adam offered to drive her home, she thought he had some ulterior motive, and she had already decided to reject all his advances. But those advances never came.
