Chapter 28: Cassie
Adam drives his car into the parking lot next to the restaurant before walking into his new workplace.
He doesn’t see himself working here for much longer. It is only for him to show his father that he is willing to take responsibility for himself. Give his dad enough to see and make a positive impression on him.
Knowing how much of a cunning bitch Julia is, Adam can’t be making mistakes that would ruin his image in his father’s eyes.
Though Adam doesn’t like his dad, he doesn’t want the same thing that happened in the past to happen again.
Adam enters his new workplace just in time, as Ellie is about to open the restaurant for the day.
Since it’s morning, no customers are here yet, but the restaurant might start getting busy at 11 AM.
"Adam, you are here, great. I have your uniform ready in the changing room inside your locker. The locker’s code is 0000, you can change it to what you want," Ellie says as she sees Adam walk in.
She is busy setting up the table for today’s service and doesn’t seem to be in any mood for distraction.
"Let me help you with that after I change into my uniform," Adam says.
Ellie lifts her head and smiles at Adam. "That would be great,"
Adam nods and walks past her as Ellie gets a whiff of the nice perfume he is wearing, which gets stuck in her head as it smells good.
