Babies' Secret: My Ex Wants Me Back!

Chapter 69: Annual Sport III

Chapter 69

As the final event for the day was announced by the whistle blow, the children began their march past, each child representing their various house colours from their headbands to the matching flags.

Each house proudly displayed their unique march plus their house queens and kings as they stomped in rhythm, all in sync yet waving with happy smiles on their faces. Teachers overseeing the activities of each house trailed behind them, voices hoarse from shouting and guiding the children.

The crowd clapped as each house displayed their uniqueness, some parents cheering while some were pulling flags of their children’s house. Katherine stood under the tent, her eyes never leaving Jasmine and Hanith who paraded with their house — yellow and blue. Jasmine, of course, being energetic, was among the marching soldiers while Hanith sat on the small carriage as the prince.

So adorable. Katherine had a happy smile that latched onto her face as warmth spread through her body. Her babies looked happy. Even with Hanith’s shyness and quietness, he was enjoying himself under the parasol.

Jasmine and Hanith’s faces were flushed from the sun and a little tan from their running activities in the scorching sun, hair tousled and clothes a bit stained from the races.

When the parade ended, the last activity kicked off immediately—a tug of war—because the sun was already moving to the west, the orange hue making the sky beautiful.

The homeroom teachers of each class were called out for the activity as they shouted with all their might, pulling ropes to each side. The female homeroom teachers and the male homeroom teachers, each team screaming, grunting as the thick rope jerked back and forth like a slime.

Katherine also laughed too hard when one of the male teachers landed flat on his butt and others stepped on him, uncaring of the team member. Laughter enveloped the field when one of the male teachers was pulled over the rope.

They announced the gift for the winners.

"I’m coming," Aaron said, shooting Katherine a smile, and disappeared briefly. Within some minutes, gasps, murmurs, and a few squeals caught her attention, and she whipped her head back to check what was going on.
