Chapter 102: Working without trust
The saintess walked into the hall, her footsteps echoing on the polished marble floor. It was a massive circular hall, five marble thrones as tall as ten feet inside in a semi-circular manner.
On the chairs were figures cloaked in white, their faces shrouded in darkness. They simply existed as figures, but their identity was unknown.
She walked in with confidence, making her way to the center of the Hall. She bowed her head to them and spoke, "I greet the masters." She spoke, her voice echoing within the halls.
"It was made known that you want a meeting with us, and to what reason is that?" the master seated right in front spoke. Her voice was feminine, but it was filled with age and wisdom.
"Masters, I had a vision, one that is of great importance," the saintess said.
"You had a vision? It has been a long time since you had one. Is it about the spirit cult? We have long reached a stalemate in our fight against them," the master asked.
"No, masters, what I saw was not about the spirit cult. It was an anomaly that should not be, a being that shouldn’t exist in this world," she said.
"A being that shouldn’t exist? What exactly are you talking about?" the master asked.
"A being with more than one soul exists, each soul having their own use and essence," she said.
"A being with more than one soul?" the master asked.
