Chapter 74: Personal Advisor
Ariel pulled Aric into the office she made for him. Aric looked around and was shocked with what she had already done—talk about efficient.
"This is awesome, Ariel, but I doubt I’ll be sitting inside a lot. There’s a lot to be done, and things to be handled. I have to be out on the field helping out," Aric said.
"No, you might think that, but I think otherwise. You should focus your energy from one place. You are the powerhouse, you feed the survival of everyone, so you can’t be out there always. We have already spoken about this," Ariel said.
"Fine, fine, I’ll do what you say, I’ll trust your process," Aric said and then took his seat. Ariel sat down opposite his table.
"Now, let’s get into the matters at hand. The first issue is we now have two powerful enemies at our necks: the Terror and the Baron that you have captured.
Do you have any plan on what to do with those issues?" she asked.
Aric leaned back into his chair. He thought about what she said for a bit, then leaned forward. "I don’t really know. It seems like a battle is inevitable on both sides.
If we send the Baron back, I’m very certain he’ll have a plan cooking to attack us as well. And as for the Terror, I’m certain that he’ll send another force or come himself," Aric said.
"You see, that’s the issue. You are war-minded, but I doubt that’s the only solution. Sure, it will be hard to avoid a war with the Terror, but we can work something out with the Baron for certain.
Humans are nothing but hungry, greedy creatures. Their lust for materialistic things knows no bounds. And from what I have observed from that Baron, he loves material things," Ariel said.
