Chapter 268: A Surge of Jealousy
Enzo cleared his mind as he immersed his body in the water. He felt better when the cold droplet touched his skin. He didn’t know how long he stayed there, just washing away his stress and worry.
After freshening up, Enzo wrapped the towel around his lower body and glanced at his reflection in the wide mirror. He took a deep sigh as he recalled his encounter with Lanny.
"I hope she already left," Enzo mumbled to himself, brushing his wet hair through his fingers.
After a while, he stepped out of the bathroom. But he was surprised when she saw Lanny leaning on the cabinet, blocking his way. She had a playful grin on her face as she sized him up from top to bottom.
"Hmm. Mr. Williams, why are you still frowning? Didn’t you cool down after taking a bath? You still look grumpy." Lanny teased him as she slowly traced her steps toward him.
The crease on Enzo’s forehead deepened when she started to move closer to him. Reflexively, he stepped back to keep his distance from her.
"Why are you here? This is not your room. Can you please leave me for a moment? I’ll just put on some clothes." Enzo sounded annoyed since he could tell that Lanny was deliberately teasing him or rather, tempting him.
"No need to do that. I’ve already seen everything." Lanny licked her lips as her gaze traveled over his torso. A playful grin spread across her face as her eyes lingered on his broad chest and down to his sculpted six-pack abs.
Enzo tightened his jaw as he continued stepping back, away from Lanny.
"Are you afraid of me? Why are you backing away?" She teased with a giggle.
Her eyes trailed down, stopping on his lower body which was only covered by a towel. It was a delicious sight for her. The spot between her legs throbbed as she craved for him.
Enzo’s face turned red. He didn’t know if he was blushing from embarrassment or annoyance. Sensing a danger sign, he immediately grabbed Lanny’s shoulders, stopping her on her track.
