Chapter 247: Growing Suspicion
"Athena... I want to marry you... I love you."
Athena was at a loss for words when Vladimir’s words sunk in. There was no way she could respond to that. But deep inside, she felt so touched by his sincerity. Despite her tragic past, this guy expressed his feelings for her, confessing his love and his desire to marry her.
"You don’t have to answer me. Take your time, Athena. I just want you to know how much you mean to me. I’ll fight for you... no matter what."
After saying those words, Vladimir released her from his tight embrace. With a blushing face, Athena walked away, heading to her room without looking back at Vladimir. Her heart was still pounding crazily inside her chest the moment she closed her door.
"Damn. I don’t know if I am still doing the right thing." Athena mumbled, sighing deeply.
She strode toward her bed and sat down. She kept thinking about three people– Dominique, Vladimir, and Sasha.
She was still lost in her own thoughts when her phone suddenly rang. She checked it out only to see Timothy’s caller ID.
"Hello, Mr. Wilson? Do you need something?" Athena sounded like she was not in the mood for a long conversation so she immediately confronted Timothy.
"Oh. I’m sorry. Did I disturb you?" He sensed Athena’s foul mood in her tone that’s why he apologized right away. "I just can’t wait to inform you about the good news. Your first concert here is going to happen soon so I want you to prepare. This will be a grand event for our company!"
Athena rubbed the space in her eyebrows. She had been so busy with her revenge that she almost forgot that she also had some work to do as a singer and an artist.
