Chapter 140: Tragic Past
"I will never forget that night... He took everything from my family... from me. Your father was there the night my parents and my sister were killed. I witnessed everything." Dominique mumbled, his voice laced with pain and anger.
Dominique started to narrate what happened that night.
[ Flashback...]
Dominique Smith was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. He had an elder sister, Marie. When Dominique was twelve, his sister was nineteen years old.
Dominique’s parents were businessmen in Vozton City. Smith’s company was well-known for manufacturing and selling jewelry items.
Albert Williams tried to do partnership collaboration with the Smith Family. But the collaboration was still hidden from the public. They were about to launch the big project in three months.
For now, Alberto and Dominique’s father were not allowed to disclose any information about their partnership because they wanted to surprise their competitors.
"Mom, Dad, what is the occasion? Why did you prepare a lavish meal tonight?" Young Dominique asked his parents. He had just arrived from school.
"We will have an important visitor. Your Dad’s business partner from York City!" Mrs. Smith responded, pinching Dominique’s cheek.
"You’re late again, Dom."
"Ouch! Sorry, Mom! I hung out with Sasha and Ashton! We lost track of time," he explained.
It did not take long before Marie joined them. She was holding a tray of food. She was the one who cooked the food for tonight’s gathering.
